I have my USB wireless mouse receiver and various USB flash drives plugging in and out with zero issues. I read that a couple people mentioned that the cord was shorter then they wanted (2ft). Dont even know its there and being shared. I thank those for their review because it now ships with the longer 4ft cord. Perfect for my desktop since PC is a ways away and saves the reach and the excess wear and tear on PC USB port. My external powered 1T WD drive works fine on it also. The mild light to show which ports are used is perfect, better then the cheaper hub on my laptop that could spot an aircraft in cloudy weather its so bright.
I ordered a Targus 4 Port USB 2.0 and it works Great. Because with the shortages of USB Port in the back of my computer, it was very difficult to get at them when I needed them, this give me the option of always having a port available. Excellent Idea.
I've owned this item since Feb. The transfer rate is slow by 2009 standards so I am replacing it, but for this price and given how well it has worked in continual service for almost 7 years I am extremely happy with it. 2003. During that time I've used it in a variety of settings, but mostly with a desktop in a home office. The design is good and clearly the quality is high. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, unless transfer rate is your primary concern.
I got this after my old hub crashed, I just need something to plug my camera USB, my external hard drive and my ipod, AND my wireless mouse. everything works just great except the wireless mouse for some reason, but since my computer itself has two USB ports on the front of it I am just able to plug the wireless mouse USB in there. Great product for the price.
exactly what i needed for my ps3 slim. as you know the slim only has two usb ports. so i got this and now i have 5lol.
